We beat up on certain Marketwatch.com doomsayers and flip-floppers in a recent article. While not apologizing, we will throw Marketwatch a bone, or at least raise a glass to them.

David Callaway’s article rates the most livable cities by the ratio of local beers to the number of local bankers. A novel comparison that we at DSMW can get behind since imbibing is a bipartisan affair.

“If the top livable cities have anything in common, it might be good beer rather than good financial centers.”

David, you are hereby invited to our next cocktail party.

For those with a more sophisticated pallet, WSJ.com now has a wine club. A new business model perhaps?
