Cain campaign cover-up?

Credit: Gage SkidmoreHaving vaulted to the front of the GOP herd, Herman Cain has had to endure the slings and arrows from both The Left and The Right over his credentials, his 9-9-9 flat tax plan and even his sincerity to actually want to be president. None of these attacks have slowed The Herminator down one bit. So seemingly on cue, allegations of sexual misconduct have suddenly come to light.

The Right was immediately reminded of Clarence Thomas, Anita Hill and the Coca Cola from Hell. The testimony from those hearings left this nation disgusted. Everyone involved was damaged and vilified. We here at DSMW still blush when recalling what Ms. Hill recounted was said to her. Not because of it’s sexual nature, but because of it’s juvenile intent and ham-fisted delivery. Someone had a some ill conceived ideas about dirty talk.

Mr. Cain and his people, however, have done a horrible job of crisis management in this situation, especially with the revelation that sat on the story for ten days while awaiting a private response from the Cain camp. We would like to think there is strategy at play here, but right now it is impossible to fathom what plan would have a candidate mislead and then come clean about a cover up.
