NPR no longer tolerates Williams

NPR, the public radio news, information and "aren't we urbane" media organization has fired long time news analyst Juan Williams. His contract was terminated after remarks he made on Fox. Williams said: 

"...when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

Apparently, for the network that hosts All Things Considered, the feelings Williams and millions of his fellow citizens share, cannot be considered, or at least, not considered out loud.

NPR has not responded to our request for a statement.
