Arizona Immigration Center Stage

"We should not panic" counselor Janette Leal told the illegal immigrants gathered at St. Margaret's.  "We need to plan for the worst."  Meanwhile illegals across Arizona are gathering together their social security and tax ID numbers planning for the worst.

I became confused on this point and had to dig deeper.  Illegals do have these documents and moreover federal tax law prohibits the IRS from sharing data with other government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, assuring illegal immigrants that the tax information will be confidential and not be used to deport them.  Tax ID numbers are also used by real estate brokers to facilitate mortgages for illegal immigrants. My head is spinning.

 To quote one of our submitters  "Are you an American or do you just live here."  History will be made in Arizona.
