Goodbye Blago

"I've got this thing and it's f–ing golden, and I'm not just going to give it up for f–ing nothing." Ron Blagojevich bragging on his power to appoint someone to fill Mr. Obama's former Senate seat.

Two years after he was arrested and one trial later, Ron Blagojevich was convicted yesterday on 17 counts of corruption. The jury sent a clear message that Gov. Blagojevich's crimes were serious and he would not become a repeat guest on the Eliot Spitzer show.

"I tried everything I could to make him not guilty, but the evidence was there," one juror said. He was a likable guy.

After hearing the verdict, Blago appeared pale. He spoke briefly to reporters about sorting things out and getting home to his little girls. As he climbed into his limo he blew kisses to the crowd.
