The Carter Ricochet Effect

Barack Obama thinks the road to respect is to use diplomacy, peace-making and averting the use of force.  Jimmy Carter and the U.S. were detested and enfeebled after two years of these tactics.

No More Mr. Nice Charlie?

By Larry Thornberry  11.23.09
TAMPA -- Florida governor Charlie Crist will have to do something soon. But what? He's already tried to paint himself as a true conservative. But this hasn't worked because of the liberal hobby-horses he's ridden hard and put up wet since he's been governor -- whooping up President Obama's stimulus slush fund, calling for cap and trade, et al. And he can't run on his accomplishments as Florida's CEO because there haven't been any. He could go negative. But considering his opponent, this would be tricky.

Americans Deserve a Transparent Fed

Created in 1913 the Federal Reserve has been given the enormous responsibility to protect the value of our currency.  Yet in the last 96 years the U.S. dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power.  The Fed has also been required to maintain prices and full employment.  To comply with this mandate the Fed is required to appear before Congress twice a year to explain it actions. The idea that this constitutes oversight is laughable.

Looking For A True Conserative

Paul johnson has it right when he says " A true conservative today should stress construction, encouragement, moderation and understanding instead of destruction, prohibition, extremism and slogans. Hasan, Not KSM, Is Our Real Problem

The old school jihadist sitting in far away places plotting death to America could be passe.  The real danger is the street corner terrorist in facebook watching violent Islamic websites from abroad.  All this hatred is "speech" and is protected by the First Amendment.

The Australian Prime Minister gets it

We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, French or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!

Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

There Is A Better Way

Cap and Trade is another government policy that will raise electricity rates by as much as 26% by 2010 and send manufacturing jobs to countries that produce energy at a cheaper cost. The US acting alone will have no impact on world temperatures.  It's time to open US reserves of clean natural gas.

Two Ground Zeros

Ground Zero has been turned into a metaphor for American incompetence.  It is, in short, the story of our decade.  Barack Obama was elected to change all that.  So far his presidency has ushered in bloated government, deficits,  health-care bills and paralysis over Afghanistan.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed understood his targets well.
