Obama Stokes the Union Heart

Obama has moved to block Boeing from building their planes in South Carolina, a right to work state. The National Labor Relation Board wants them in Washington, a labor state. Ms. Haley and the country cannot let this happen.

Read the article appearing below about Nikki Haley and her battle with the unions.  Nikki is taking a step to win another important battle - the battle of language.  Conservatives are not against unions - they are against mandatory or compulsory union membership.  They are all for voluntary union membership.  We must win the battle of labels!  Our freedom is at stake. - DSMW

Tea Party Not MIA

Tampa - The Tea Party in Tampa was well attended and had really great speakers like Ralph Reed, Senator Marco Rubio, Mike Pinson and more. Take a look at what you missed. We have some excellent video coming up.

The event has continued to grow and change. Now it is becoming more of a family picnic with food vendors and information stalls featuring ways to maintain the activist spirit. It's a wonderful place to get started if you are beginning to question your government and want to play a more active role.

There was a lot of media coverage. The tea Party is important and the people there were only the tip of the ice berg. The crowd was larger than last year's Tea Party and the homemade signs have definitely all but disappeared.

The Tea Party rally and it attendees will not go away, on the contrary, the group is growing. Like the original 1776 revolutionaries, these Americans are serious about their freedom. Speaker Reed quoted 22% of all register voters admit to some Tea Party affiliation. With the empowerment of the 2010 elections, members and people content just to read about the Tea Party movement now know the power of the collective voice. With the help of the internet, churches, and meetup groups everywhere there is no turning back. What's not to like about liberty?

Interview with Deborah Cox-Roush

TAMPA - Deborah Cox-Roush is the Chairman of the Hillsborough County Republican Party. We were able to share a few minutes with her and discuss the political landscape for Hillsborough County. Debbie is passionate for politics. She shared her views on the direction of this country and the reason it is important to be politically involved.

The HCRP provides wonderful speakers. Last year it was Sen. Jim DeMint, Herman Cain and Sen. Mike Pense. Several weeks ago Jeb Bush, Jr, spoke. The list is endless. Saturday, May 7th Governor Rick Scott will speak along with Attorney General Pam Bondi and Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putman when HCRP presents "A Night To Remember."

Debbie smiles when she mentions the surprise speakers coming up in the next several months. I'll be there and I hope you will be too.

Allen West Weighs In On U.S. Libyan Involvement

Congressmen Allen West, 22nd district South Florida, has something to say about the U.S. involvement in Libya. As NATO fights over who should lead the command of the bombing of Gaddafi's forces, West's military background sheds much needed light on government and where this country is headed.

Known for his blunt assessments of the DC beltway, it is comforting to know West is in your corner. Like another Floridian Marco Rubio, West is holding himself and other public officials accountable to the American people. - DSMW

What Are Taxes For?

Why do we pay taxes?. Daniel Henninger asks the next question. Is it to allocate back to the American people as Washington and a bloated bureaucracy sees fit?  As Americans do we continue to worry about high tax rates; the 35% double taxation inheritance tax comes to mind, as does fighting for piecemeal extensions of income taxes every two years. The day to day state and federal taxes  are daunting enough without worrying about keeping our business open with the threat of oppressive Obamacare regulation and taxation.  We have reached a tipping point with an adversarial government and 10 percent unemployment. Henninger's question is on our lips. - DSMW
