Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum vows to sue if health-care reform bill is passed

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is stepping up the heat on the federal government once Congress passes its health-care overhaul.  “Presumably one of the provisions penalizing individuals who do not buy health insurance will be in any final legislation which becomes law, and if so, I intend to pursue litigation to challenge it,” McCollum wrote last week to the National Association of Attorneys General.

McCollum also said he was forming a “coalition of state agencies” to examine the impact of whatever plan passes.
