Is Obama Smart?

“I think I’m a better speech writer than my speech writers. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m . . . a better political director than my political director.” Barack Obama comments to aid in 2008

As it becomes more apparent that Barack Obama is out of his league when it comes to running a country, the world sits back and agonizes over how long he will remain in office. Bret Stephens has it right when he imparts Socrate’s quote “that wisdom begins in the recognition of how little we know.” Evidently Obama lacks the ability to monitor his actual capabilities.

Stephens quotes Obama comments to a Chicago Tribune reporter on another occasion—at the 2004 Democratic convention—Mr. Obama explained that, “I’m LeBron, baby. I can play at this level. I got game.”

Unfortunately, President Obama cannot pay at this level. China has stepped up it criticism of the U.S. credit rating downgrade in the People’s Daily saying it has concerns over the Western government’s ability to make decisions that affect global policy.
