LSU Tigers coach Ed Orgeron offers important health advice in wake of coronavirus spread

The most important man in Louisiana has some health advice for the state. And it’s not Gov. John Bel Edwards.

In fact, the governor’s Twitter account released a one-minute video of LSU Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron offering prudent health tips in the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic that has brought the sports world to a halt.

“When Coach O speaks, we all listen,” the governor tweeted.

“For every winning team, the key to success is learning the playbook. That’s true in football, and that’s also true as we take on the cornavirus,” Orgeron begins. ” … There’s a gameplan for keeping residents as safe as possible. Everyone has a role to play as we face this challenge together.”

Among Coach O’s prudent tips:

  • Covering coughs with elbows, complete with a demonstration.
  • Encouraging those who do not feel well to stay home.
  • Instructions for how to go about being tested for coronavirus, if necessary.

“We’re all in this together,” Orgeron said. “Let’s team up and protect our health.”

Orgeron, the 2019 national Coach of the Year, led the Tigers to an undefeated 15-0 campaign capped off by the national championship.
