Steve Jobs 1955 – 2011

Steve Job’s death yesterday shows that there are no u-turns in facing death. Battling pancreatic cancer since 2005 , he died as he lived, bravely, surrounded by friends and family.

The Apple C0-founder life’s story can be heard below in his 2005 Stanford Commencement Address. At times moving, telling the story of his birth and his adoptive parents, Jobs welcomes you into his life and imparts his personal philosophy.

During his more than three decade-long career, his creative genius transformed Silicon Valley from a sleepy little town into technology’s epicenter. Jobs once described his philosophy as trying to make products that were at, “the center of art and technology”. In doing so, Apple became the most valuable company in the world.
