Weiner Feels He Violated No Law Or His Oath Of Office

”I have not been honest with myself, my family, my constituents, my friends, my supporters, and the media. I am deeply ashamed. This was a very dumb thing to do and it was a destructive thing to do. I don’t believe that I did anything here that violates any law or violates my oath.”Rep. Anthony Weiner, Democrat, New York

Anthony Weiner 46, close friend of Hillary Clinton and married to top Clinton aid, was being groomed for Bloomberg’s seat as mayor of New York. After sending bulging crotch shots of himself via his phone to six women, top democrats are trying to move away from the Weiner controversy to more important issues like medicare. Nancy Pelosi, quoted after the news broke, is calling for an investigation, “to determine whether any official resources were used or any other violation of House rules occurred.’‘ Other Dems are afraid that the attention will take their eye off the ball if the Weiner thing continues.  The state Democratic Party chairman, sympathetic with the Queens democrat, feels Weiner should be given more time.
