Obama: End of Road for Rangel

Obama last night called the ethics charges against Rangel “very troubling” and sharply noted that the embattled Harlem Democrat is “at the end of his career.”  He went on to say, “He’s somebody who’s at the end of his career. Eighty years old. I’m sure that what he wants is to be able to end his career with dignity. And my hope is that it happens.”

Is this Obama’s way of asking Rangel to step down?  It shows how desperate we are for Mr. Obama to do the right thing by this country.  How pathetic we are to grab at straws and feel for once that perhaps we might be on the same side of an issue. – DSMW
