It was why some people voted for him. It was what, supposedly, stood him in stark contrast to his predecessor. It was his intellect that made him the right candidate for the trying time which lay ahead. He was a thinker that would presumably make wise decisions when faced with difficult and dire problems.
Now that he faces opposition, will this president become the very impasse he once labeled Congress?
